Investigates, evaluates and determines the appropriate disposition of all types of claims arising out of business written by our independent agents. A claim representative reviews various policies, analyzes coverages, and meets with parties involved with claims in an effort to bring the claim to a fair, efficient and timely conclusion. The claim representative must possess good interpersonal communication skills, exhibit good judgment and sound reasoning, and have the ability to multi-task. The claim representative’s work can be exciting, challenging and very diverse.
Maintain all claims and/or policy files; sort and prepare incoming/outgoing mail.
Mechanically insert and mail policies, invoices and checks, sort and distribute incoming mail, assemble and process policies, file and mail all outgoing agent, branch and marketing mail as well as all other company mail.
Print and assemble company policy forms and brochures.
Manages a service territory and conducts multi-line risk evaluations during prospective and existing policyholder visits. Identifies and evaluates exposures and hazard controls, analyzes loss experience and provides solutions and resources to manage risk using a consultative and collaborative approach. Loss control associates evaluate policyholder business operations, physical premises, equipment, materials, work practices, and safety policies and programs. Develops loss control correspondence including underwriting survey reports to communicate recommendations and a strategy to reduce loss exposure.

The marketing representative informs agencies of important business developments as well as changes in the Company's policies and practices. A marketing representative must be versatile, experienced in insurance, diplomatic, and willing to travel in a defined geographical area. Knowledge of people is just as important as knowledge of insurance.
Rate and enter all policy applications, policy endorsements and cancellations; resolve agent inquiries.
Research and resolve customer inquiries; apply payments to proper accounts.
Compose letters, memos and reports, use word processing software, schedule meetings, and handle correspondence and phone calls. Publish electronic correspondence; work with imaging technology for document storage and workflow.
Software Quality Analyst
The software quality analyst evaluates and tests new or modified software programs to make sure the programs perform properly.
Utilizes professional and technical expertise to review and analyze insurance applications from agents. They negotiate premiums, coverages and acceptability based on the information presented. Their decisions are based on knowledge, judgment and reasoning. An underwriter must have sound judgment, be an analytical thinker, look for answers and possess the ability to develop sound decision-making skills.
Handle distribution of supplies for the Home Office, branches and agencies; maintain stored records.
