Coronavirus (COVID-19) Massachusetts-Specific Information

In response to Massachusetts Bulletin 2020-30, issued on December 29, 2020, certain reasonable accommodations may be available for Massachusetts life insurance policyholders who are experiencing a financial hardship resulting from COVID-19, in order to prevent a loss of coverage.

Policyholders must specifically request such accommodations from our Life billing representatives. For assistance with a life insurance policy, you can contact a Life billing representative Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm EST by calling 1-800-346-0346 ext. 51860.

In addition, if a policyholder fails to pay policy premium because of a financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 and has not entered into a payment arrangement, they may request to discontinue coverage. Any policyholder needing such an accommodation for discontinuing coverage should contact their independent agent.

These provisions are effective December 29, 2020 and apply to Life insurance policies.
